When Purina Dog Chow discovered that new puppy owners don’t always have the proper information on how raise their furry friends, causing a lack of awareness about puppy food, we built a platform to deliver what they were already looking for instead of spending money trying to message them the traditional way. The final result was The Puppyhood– a comprehensive hub with tips, tricks, articles and videos about all things puppy. By creating a utility instead of an ad we were able to let pet owners know about the necessity of feeding puppy food while connecting with them in a way that builds brand equity. In turn we not only got people buying Puppy Chow, we were able to transition them to the entire Purina portfolio of adult dog food.
